Rattlers Wrestling Terms & Conditions
By registering for Rattlers Wrestling practices, camps, events, dual teams, or competitions, parents/guardians and wrestlers agree to follow the expectations below.
Parent / Guardian Expectations
Parents and guardians are expected to support a positive, respectful, and team-focused environment at all times. This applies inside the Rattlers wrestling room, around the building, at tournaments, duals, camps, and any event where Rattlers Wrestling is represented.
Parents agree to:
- Treat coaches, wrestlers, parents, officials, volunteers, and facility staff with respect.
- Allow coaches to coach during practices and competitions.
- Avoid yelling negative comments, arguing with officials, confronting coaches during practice or matches, or creating distractions.
- Keep sideline and spectator behavior positive and appropriate.
- Follow all facility rules, including parking, supervision, cleanliness, and restricted areas.
- Make sure siblings and guests are supervised while at the facility or team events.
- Communicate concerns privately and respectfully with coaches at an appropriate time.
- Represent Rattlers Wrestling in a way that reflects well on the club, both at home and while traveling or competing.
Disrespectful, aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe parent behavior may result in removal from practice, an event, or the program.
Wrestler Expectations
Wrestlers are expected to work hard, listen, be coachable, and treat others with respect. Wrestling is a tough sport, but all training must be done with control, discipline, and good sportsmanship.
Wrestlers agree to:
- Listen to coaches and follow instructions.
- Respect teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, parents, and facility staff.
- Practice with control and avoid unnecessary roughness, cheap shots, bullying, or unsafe behavior.
- Keep hands, words, and actions respectful.
- Be a good partner and help teammates improve.
- Stay in assigned areas and follow facility rules.
- Clean up after themselves and help take care of the wrestling room.
- Show good sportsmanship before, during, and after matches.
- Represent Rattlers Wrestling with pride at practices, tournaments, duals, camps, and away events.
Wrestlers who are disrespectful, unsafe, disruptive, or unwilling to follow coaching instructions may be removed from practice or competition.
Behavior While Traveling or Competing
When attending tournaments, duals, camps, or other events, all parents and wrestlers are representing Rattlers Wrestling.
Families agree to:
- Respect the host facility and event staff.
- Follow all event rules and schedules.
- Keep team areas clean.
- Avoid negative comments toward other clubs, wrestlers, coaches, or officials.
- Handle wins and losses with sportsmanship.
- Understand that poor behavior away from the Rattlers facility may still affect participation in future Rattlers events.
Coaching Decisions
Coaches are responsible for practice structure, team placement, lineup decisions, match coaching, and competition recommendations. These decisions are made based on effort, attendance, attitude, skill level, safety, and what is best for the wrestler and team.
Safety & Participation
Wrestling involves physical contact and carries risk of injury. Parents/guardians understand that participation is voluntary and agree that wrestlers should only participate when healthy and able to train safely.
Coaches may limit or stop participation if a wrestler appears injured, sick, unsafe, or unable to follow instructions.
Payments, Refunds & Attendance
Program fees, camp fees, drop-ins, and event payments are due as listed at registration. Missed practices, weather closures, schedule conflicts, or voluntary absences do not automatically guarantee refunds or credits.
Special circumstances may be reviewed by Rattlers Wrestling on a case-by-case basis.
Right to Remove or Refuse Participation
Rattlers Wrestling reserves the right to remove, suspend, or refuse participation to any wrestler, parent, or family whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to the club environment.
Rattlers Priority & Public Roster Spots
Rattlers wrestlers will receive first opportunity for available team spots and weight classes before those spots are released publicly.
If multiple Rattlers wrestlers want the same weight class, coaches may hold an in-house wrestle-off or make a placement decision based on what is best for the team.
Once a weight class is released to the public and claimed by a non-Rattlers wrestler, the spot is no longer subject to being bumped, challenged, or wrestled off by a Rattlers wrestler.
This policy is in place to keep the roster process fair, organized, and respectful to families who commit to a spot once it becomes available. Coaches have final say on all team and roster decisions.
Agreement
By registering, attending, or participating in Rattlers Wrestling activities, the parent/guardian and wrestler acknowledge that they have read and agree to these terms and expectations.
