Why wrestling?
- Develops athleticism: Balance, strength, coordination, and overall body awareness is important in any sport, especially wrestling.
-
Promotes personal responsibility: The ultimate individual sport! You are responsible for success or failure. Wrestling teaches self-awareness and how to be responsible for your actions.
-
Develops mental and emotional resilience: High emotional sport like no other! Wrestling triggers the emotions of athletes. Losses and setbacks will happen and often they are painful and uncomfortable. Wrestling’s process develops resilience.
Why Rattlers Wrestling?
- Small Group: Limited to 20 for better instruction. Not one of the huge camps with not enough coaches and no one on one training.
- Coaches: Every coach at Rattlers believes in the process and we all have similar goals; to teach kids to be better overall in everything they try. All coaches have experience with success at different levels.
- We have fun: Wrestling is a tough sport and not every session, practice or workout needs to be a serious grind.
- Best Girls in the region: Charles Town Middle School has won WV State Championship twice. Musselman High School has won WV State Championship and in the top 3 consistently. The Eastern Panhandle has been a leader for women’s wrestling for several years.
